<\/a><\/p>\nEfectivos de este Batall\u00f3n participaron en las tareas de extinci\u00f3n del incendio forestal declarado en agosto del 2007 en Yeste, y asumieron la instalaci\u00f3n de un campamento para evacuaci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n en Elche de la Sierra.<\/p>\n
El subdelegado del Gobierno visit\u00f3 el centro de operaciones alojado en el Polideportivo de Yeste y fue informado tanto sobre las maniobras que durante tres d\u00edas ha realizado la UME en el t\u00e9rmino municipal, c\u00f3mo sobre la log\u00edstica, equipos y veh\u00edculos utilizados en las maniobras.<\/p>\n
Con motivo de estas maniobras Espinosa, recibi\u00f3 en la Subdelegaci\u00f3n del Gobierno, al teniente coronel de Infanter\u00eda y jefe del Batall\u00f3n de Intervenci\u00f3n N\u00ba1, Juan Esteban Rodas.<\/p>\n
El subdelegado del Gobierno transmiti\u00f3 al mando de la UME el orgullo y la confianza que supone para la ciudadan\u00eda que el Estado pueda contar con una unidad de estas caracter\u00edsticas y sobre la que los ciudadanos expresan de forma mayoritaria una percepci\u00f3n muy positiva en sus actuaciones.<\/p>\n
Asimismo, destac\u00f3 la importancia de la coordinaci\u00f3n y colaboraci\u00f3n institucional para ser m\u00e1s efectivos en la lucha contra los incendios forestales, ya que la UME, es un medio del Gobierno de Espa\u00f1a, que se pone a disposici\u00f3n del resto de administraciones, cuando el nivel de alerta as\u00ed lo precisa.<\/p>\n
Durante el encuentro el teniente coronel Esteban explic\u00f3 al subdelegado del Gobierno los principales cometidos de la UME y subray\u00f3 la alta capacitaci\u00f3n y especializaci\u00f3n de la unidad con una gran potencia de extinci\u00f3n gracias a sus equipos, \u00a0su autonom\u00eda log\u00edstica y capacidad de pronta respuesta en todo el territorio nacional.<\/p>\n
